The dangers of cheerleading
According to this article, cheerleaders suffer more catastrophic injuries than all athletes in other sports combined. It says that there are very few regulations when it comes to cheerleading and the entire industry has very little guidance.
Personally, I’ve always thought that cheerleading was a horrid example for girls because it shows them that they should be an ornament on the sidelines. But I never contemplated the physical dangers discussed in this article.
