At a message board that I frequent, one of the members recently posted that she has lost over 100 pounds (I’ll call her “Mary”, not her real name). I sent her a private message and asked her how she did it. She replied by telling me about Overeaters Anonymous. I hadn’t heard of them for ages and I didn’t even know they were still around.

Well, they’re still there and Mary’s transformation is proof of that. She sent me a link to pictures of her OA ‘journey’ and my jaw dropped when I saw some of her ‘before’ pictures. She is living proof that there are other, better options besides invasive bariatric surgery.
