I don’t really believe in counting calories…

But I am shocked by the number of calories in Chili’s Restaurant food. This eye-opening page clearly details what a person consumes when they eat at Chili’s. For example, they found that one serving of the chicken quesadilla appetizer has a staggering 1830 calories. Their post is very well written and should be mandatory reading for anyone considering heading out for a meal at a restaurant. Personally, I think we’d all be better off if we ate at home and met at the restaurants just for socializing and conversing with friends. Then again, I guess the restaurants would go out of business quickly if they didn’t sell any food.

Hi, thanks for referring my post to your readers, and especially for your compliment on my writing! :)

I, too, was simply astounded by the number of calories in Chili’s food…and I used to love eating there.

I agree with you that it is much healthier to prepare your own food at home, not to mention the monetary savings! ;)

    All the best,

There are things you can eat there that are fine. For example, I eat an order of the lettuce wraps nearly every day-they are delicious and less than 400 calories with the sesame dipping sauce. It’s not like Chili’s is worse than any other restaurant either-there are fattening foods everywhere because that’s what people like to eat. You just have to be informed so that you make good choices.
