More from YouTube

This isn’t exactly exercise per se. Although, you have to admit that everyone in the video got a fair amount of exercise while it was taped. I thought it was amazing how so many people were able to stay in synch with no mistakes. Then again, I think the participants in the video probably had a lot of time on their hands for rehearsals. I also hope the participants got to see the final results.

Show your Style in Every Room

Posted by Admin :: Oct 18'th

Whether you’re decorating a new room for the first time, or redecorating your current place to give it a fresh look, you want to make sure that you express your style and individuality in every room. For example, I think that even bedding sets should reflect your personality and tastes.

Thankfully, BizRate.com makes it very easy to find what you want and how you want it. Let’s say that you’ve decided that you want a bedding set with a floral motif. Their search page shows thumbnail pictures of products from top sites including JCPenney, Overstock, KingLInen, SmartBargains, Lillian Vernon and HSN. You don’t have to hop from site to site because BizRate shows your search results in one easy to use location. They allow you to comparison shop for the prices you want, and they also have product reviews you can read before you make a purchase. In addition to home furnishings, they also show selections on products ranging from shoes to major appliances. Thanks to BizRate, online shopping couldn’t be easier.

In Minnesota? Don’t drive with cracked glass

Posted by Admin :: Oct 16'th

The weather’s about to start changing, and if you live in Minneapolis windshield replacement is something you should deal with now, instead of when its a lot cooler. Rapid Glass offers fast mobile service for all your glass needs, whether you’re replacing a cracked windshield, a broken window or need a new shower door.

Of course, you could spend the winter paying extra for all the heat and energy that seeps out through cracks in your glass, but why would you want to? Rapid Glass offers same day service for MInneapolis, Saint Paul, and the nearby suburbs as well. You may even qualify for a free box of steaks when they replace your auto glass, make sure and ask for the details of this offer. Just don’t wait another day before you decide to get your glass fixed. Winter will be here before we know it, and you want to make sure your family stays as warm as possible. Call Rapid Glass, and then you’ll make sure to keep all your heat inside, right where you want it and your family needs it.

Another funny YouTube video

Posted by Admin :: Oct 16'th

I’ve respected Richard Simmons for years. I’m not a big fan of David Letterman, but I know that Simmons goes on his show and they stage a prank or an argument for entertainment. In this video, Simmons is demonstrating one of his new products, but there’s a … malfunction.

I can’t tell if Simmons was in on the gag or not. I tend to believe he knew ahead of time. I don’t fault him for acting surprised because that’s part of the show, right? (Despite this clip, I do think this product would be cool to have. I wonder if a lot of people bought it because of Simmon’s appearance on Letterman?)

From YouTube

Posted by Admin :: Oct 16'th

I just did a search for “Fitness” on Youtube. I was really surprised at the video with the most views, using that term. As a matter of fact, the counter shows 23,551,641 views, and its been favorited 157354 times. Even though the video was added in July of 2006, people are still commenting on it, someone just left a comment less than a minute ago, so now there are 26851 comments. Overall, I am amazed by the statistics, especially when it’s just a video of four guys exercising on treadmills. ;-)

Socks.. gotta love ‘em!

Posted by Admin :: Oct 16'th

I usually don’t wear legwear until the weather starts cooling off, but once ’sock season’ opens, there’s no holding me back. I love them in all styles, and hue knee hi’s look like they’d be a great addition to my wardrobe. I love the “Port” Knee hi silhouette. They have a nice sized comfort band at the top, so you don’t even feel them while you’re wearing them. They’re also available in other colors, such as Black, Navy and Espresso. Hue also has some great looking socks as well. They have cashmere socks so you can feel indulgent and snuggly warm in cooler weather. They have striped socks, patterned socks, solid colors and argyles. Whether you’re stocking up for yourself, or buying gifts, make sure to check out the unique selection that Hue offers at their site.

Walgreen’s pays six million in lawsuit

Posted by Admin :: Oct 16'th

I just read that a jury decided that Walgreen’s was 97 percent responsible for the death of an Arizona man who apparently died from a toxic interaction of the pain medicines, Methadone and Tramadol. The jury also said that the man’s doctor was 2 percent responsible, and the man himself was 1 percent responsible. The dead man’s family’s attorneys were successful in persuading the jury that Walgreen’s should have warned the doctor and the dead man that the drugs shouldn’t be used together because Walgreen’s employees should’ve received a computer warning of the interactions.

Personally, I think the doctor should be held more responsible, and that the family only sued Walgreen’s because they knew the store chain would probably be able to pay more in a lawsuit. I could be wrong, and I may be jumping to conclusions, but when did doctors lose responsibility for their actions?

“In Defense of Fort McHenry”

Posted by Admin :: Oct 15'th

This has nothing to do with health or fitness, but I found a very interesting video on YouTube. It explains the history behind the creation of “Star Spangled Banner”, and how it became our national anthem. It details the writing of the verses, and explains why some of the verses are seen to be controversial and no longer commonly used. Eldon Quick provides a dramatic recitation of all the verses, including those that aren’t familiar to us any more. It’s a very stirring and patriotic video and reminds us all that our country owes so much to all the heroes that have died for our freedoms.

Is your basement dry?

Posted by Admin :: Oct 14'th

One of the best ways to get ready for winter is to start in your basement. Your home needs the protection of superior basement waterproofing products that are used in the B-Dry System Wet Basement Waterproofing Process. After all, you don’t want any winter moisture to seep in, possibly creating a moldy, mildewy situation that could pose a health hazard to your family. In 1986, the B-Dry was awarded a patent because it’s so unique and effective. They offer free estimates, as well as a warranty for the lifetime of your structure. B-Dry has established a record that proves they’ll be around to honor that warranty too. Just think, thanks to B-Dry, you can now avoid flooded basement problems and wet basement leakage will all become a thing of the past.

Want Pizza? Grab your soup bowl instead

Posted by Admin :: Oct 14'th

I recently tried Campbell’s Soup Select Italian Sausage with Pasta & Pepperoni and was ASTONISHED by the great flavor. I’m not a big fan of pepperoni pizza, but the soup had the best pepperoni I have ever tasted. Personally, I think this soup would satisfy anyone that was craving a pizza because it tastes so good. The average SLICE of pizza has about 340 calories, yet the entire can of soup only has 300 calories. So the next time you’re tempted to call Dominos or Pizza Hut, open a can of this soup instead. You will NOT be disappointed!
