My 600-400-200 plan seems to be working
I came up with my own diet plan that I like a lot. I don’t know if anyone else is doing this, I haven’t been keeping up with the latest diet books. My idea is based on the old saying, “Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, dinner like a pauper”. I eat a big gigantic breakfast, small lunch, and and a very light dinner. Sometimes I also have two 100 calorie snacks during the day. I don’t really count a lot of calories during the day, and if my breakfast is a bit over, well, that’s okay. My main objective is to eat a very light dinner and to wake up hungry the next morning. It’s also handy to have a lot of the breakfast prepared the night before, so I can eat as soon as possible after I wake up and am ready to face the day.
I could be wrong, but it seems that the human body is very forgiving of calories that are eaten early in the day, but the same calories are hard to burn off if consumed at night. So for now, I’ll continue to eat my big bowl of rice and beans for breakfast, soup for lunch, and a yogurt for dinner until it stops working. I’m also avoiding white flour, cured meats and any forms of sweetener besides stevia. I also think it’s a good idea to have a cheat day once a week, it seems to help keep me motivated. I just have to make sure I don’t go crazy wild and eat all the snack cakes in my area code and all cheating is to be done before 1 pm so I can still have a light dinner and stay on track.
