Zevia News Flash for Sunflower Market Shoppers!

If you’re in Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico or Texas and there’s a Sunflower Market nearby (Newflower in Texas), then head there tomorrow to stock up on Zevia, the only diet soda sweetened by stevia. It’s going to be three bucks a six pack, which works out to fifty cents a can. Sale is good through June 10th, so that give you plenty of time to stock up and save.

If you can’t get to Sunflower, Amazon has Zevia as well, but it’s about double the sales price at Sunflower, about a buck a can. But isn’t that about the going rate at most vending machines nowadays for all types of canned soda? Of course, it’s best not to drink any type of sodas at all, but if you’re at the point where you’re craving some fizz, then at least with Zevia, you don’t have to worry about harmful artificial sweeteners. In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s a zero calorie sweetener made from the leaf of the stevia plant. That’s right, NO CALORIES and it tastes just like sugar. I use it in powdered form in my oatmeal as well as my tea. I haven’t tried baking with it yet, but that’s because I haven’t researched that yet. Maybe I’ll pop open a cold Zevia and sit here looking for more recipes with stevia and post what I find.
